Your room has everything you require, TV Clock radio, tea/coffee making facilities, air conditioning, fans, queen size beds, ensuite bathroom. Motel units are downstairs, single units upstairs. Meals are served in our restaurant, breakfasts are alternate hot one day, continental the next, Evening meals are two course set meal. The motel has spacious grounds, scenic views, saltwater swimming pool and guest laundry. We take pride in our motel and like our guests to feel at home, so come and have the best holiday of your life. |
DAY 1A look round our beautiful area, firstly a visit to the Mapleton Falls with scenic views over the Obi Obi valley. Then the Flaxton Barn , filled with Antiques, knick knacks and memorabilia, something for everyone. From here to the Tree Frog Gallery, one of the best art galleries you will ever go to. We then go for a drive through Maleny to view the magnificent Glass House Mountains. The afternoon will be spent in Montville, the arts and crafts capital of Queensland, a unique village of unusual architecture, wondering interesting shops and dream restaurants. |
DAY 2Firstly we go to the Ginger Factory, the biggest in the world. Taste the Ginger, ride the Ginger Train, see the Dolls Cottage or the Vintage Car Museum. Next door, sample for free the many Macadamia nut products from the Nutworks. Then we go to an amazing demonstration of glass blowing with Chris Pantano, one of the best glass blowers in the world, you won't want to leave. Into Maroochydore for lunch at the Sunshine Plaza, the biggest shopping centre on the Coast (shop till you drop) or relax having a drink overlooking the water. After lunch we go to Buderim to have a look at this beautiful area and the unusual Manawee Nursery. |
DAY 3We start the day with a visit to the Eumundi Markets - this is a great place with lots of different stalls and street entertainment, you will find something for everyone. Then we head into Noosa, great views as we drive along the Noosa waterfront into Hastings Street - the best known street in the land. Very cosmopolitan lunch in Hastings Street, (they also have maccas). Then coming home, a delightful drive along the Coast road. |
DAY 4Nestled in a Parkland surrounded by natural bush setting, you will be amazed at our Sculptured Botanical Gardens made from Local and International Artists, which are a sight to behold. Then into Mooloolaba, Australia's busiest fishing port and one of the Coast's best known holiday destinations. We go for a River Cruise on the Mooloola River, see the fishing fleet and the million dollar homes of the rich and famous. A leisurely lunch in Mooloolaba, on the way home we taste the wines from one of the coast's premium wineries. |
DAY 5Today we visit Aussie World, the home of the Ettamoogah Pub, then we go to Opals Down Under, a magnificent Opal Shop - see an opal cutting display and watch a video about the opal industry. Next door we have Skins & Things ranging from car seat covers to slippers. Then into Caloundra - we have a look around Caloundra, lunch in the town area and maybe a stroll along the boardwalk or lie on the beach. After lunch we visit the Big Pineapple - a Sunshine Coast tourism icon - ride the pineapple train, see the nocturnal house or feast on their yummy ice cream sundaes. |
DAY 6Our last day we go for a leisurely drive through the Glasshouse Mountains to the Pumpkin Cottage (lots of yummy jams, chutneys etc.) A great lookout stop then onto the Taoist Temple built in 1988 at a cost of $9 million - it's a sight to behold. Then onto Southbank for lunch at the old Expo site, now a park for the people - a stunning place with Markets, Restaurants, Water and Beach. Flights and train travel depart from Roma Street, Brisbane, unless otherwise requested. |
All bookings are secured with a AU$100.00 deposit with the balance payable on arrival. Cash, cheque or order order preferred, a percentage is charged for credit cards. Guests arrive on Sunday. The Holiday starts Monday and finishes Saturday.
